After Republican Mitt Romney's presidential loss, the GOP must develop a new strategy to win presidential elections. The key? Latinos.
Fox News Latino reports that many House Republicans are declaring they need to attract Hispanics by offering less government, low taxes and personal freedom; but many GOP members do not agree. If Hispanics "think you really are going to deport their grandmother and you've got a hard heart about this kind of stuff," Sen. Lindsey Graham said. "Your economic ideas don't resonate."
A great part of why the GOP has such a hard time winning is because people view Republicans less favorably than they do Democrats. A Quinnipiac University poll conducted this spring found that 53 percent of registered voters felt the Democratic Party "cares about the needs and problems of people like you," while just 37 percent said the GOP did.
