Roberto Hernandez is one step closer to getting his spot back as pitcher for the Cleveland Indians. Formerly known as Fausto Carmona, he was arrested in Dominican Republic under false identity charges, which put him on MLB's restricted list. Now he has accepted a deal to have the charges dropped if he completes a work program in D.R.

While this resolves the legal troubles in his home country, he still needs to deal with the United States. Hernandez will need to obtain a work visa in order to re-enter the country and take the mound with the Indians. Initially, it looked like MLB would suspend him whether or not he was able to settle the case against him, but it's unclear what they'll do now.

As spring training continues, though, it looks like Hernandez isn't going to be seeing the $7 million he was set to make this season. (Fox News Latino)
