- Pau Gasol’s future with the Los Angeles Lakers is out of his hands as the NBA’s trade deadline, March 15th, approaches. Though he finds it difficult at times to distance himself from thoughts of being traded, fans certainly aren’t seeing the rumors affecting his skills on the court. The Spanish basketball star has averaged 16.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.3 blocks so far this season. “There’s talks and rumors every day. Today I was reading it was Minnesota is really interested in trying to put a good package together," stated Gasol who would prefer to stay with the Lakers and work toward restoring the team to champion status, according to ESPN. "[Other teams are] calling, and it seems like things are just waiting for the right offer to come along, for [the Lakers] to pull the trigger."

Latino Sports Daily: Is Mark Sanchez Dating 'Sports Illustrated' Model Kate Upton?

- Mark Sanchez took to Twitter Tuesday to humorously address the rift between himself and his No. 1 receiver Santonio Holmes. The tweet, which was accompanied by a picture of gift-wrapped shortbread cookies read, “@santonio10 you want to be my Valentine? #fb.” It is no secret that there has been friction between the two New York Jets football players this year as they had the lowest success rate between them than any other quarterback-receiver duo. “I think they’re actually going to get together,” said coach Rex Ryan, according to ESPN. “Look, we were all disappointed at the way the season went. That's one thing we have in common. We also have a burning desire to win, to right the ship. The previous season, they had great chemistry. There's enough common ground to bring them back."

Latino Sports Daily: Pau Gasol Saves Lakers in Overtime!

- Carmelo Anthony could return to the floor as early as this Sunday when the New York Knicks take on the Dallas Mavericks for his first on court experience with Linsanity. While many fans have been questioning whether Anthony’s return following a groin injury he suffered against the Utah Jazz will do the team more harm than good, Anthony continues to appear unfazed. “Jeremy Lin was a blessing in disguise for us,” stated the Puerto Rican sports star according to the Washington Post. “He fell down from upstairs for us in the situation that we’ve been looking for a guy to take over that position. But it's going to take a lot of work, but I'm willing to do it, and we've all got to be willing to do it.”
