New York Knicks fans, along with the rest of the NBA, are curious to see how Carmelo Anthony will fit into the line-up now that Jeremy Lin mania has emerged in Anthony’s absence, and it seems everyone is about to find out sooner rather than later. According to the Knicks twitter account part-Puerto Rican Anthony, who has been out the past three games due to a groin injury sustained against the Utah Jazz, could return to the court “toward end of week.”

Ever since Lin rose to stardom and took over as point guard, Knicks stats have looked a little different. The team is now averaging 11 more points every 48 minutes and the shooting percentage has gone up 5 percent. Anthony is not blind to the bevy of questions raised about how he and Lin will work on the floor together, but he finds the fodder more humorous than anything else. “When I’m reading the stuff, it’s more funny than anything because at the end of the day I know what I bring to the game, I know what I bring to this team,” stated Anthony according to ESPN. “My teammates know that. But to say, ‘How can I fit in?’ It’s easy; give him the ball and space out. I get back to doing what I know how to do best. So we’ll see.”
