-Free agent Gilbert Arenas could soon be joining the Los Angeles Lakers. The guard engaged in a private work-out on Sunday with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak before flying home to Orlando, according to ESPN. Last Tuesday the team cut Derrick Caracter, leaving the court open for a new addition to the team. After recently undergoing a blood-spinning procedure on both knees, the spot could belong to Arenas. The guard, however, would have to be game to take the only salary the Lakers could offer him, a veteran’s minimum of about $1.4 million.
