Latino Organizations Plan an "SNL Dump Trump Rally" in New York City

Already signed petitions asking NBC to cancel Donald Trump’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live? Wondering what else you can do to ensure the controversial presidential candidate won’t take over the airwaves with his xenophobic speech? If you’re in New York City, you might be in luck.

On Wednesday, Latino activists and organization leaders are gathering in Manhattan for an "SNL Dump Trump Rally" at 6 p.m. The protest, aimed at pressuring the network to disinvite Trump from its November 7 episode of SNL, will take place right in front of NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Center.

Leading Latino rights groups, politicians and celebrities have already called on the variety show to "Dump Trump," and everyday Joes in the New York Metro Area now have the chance to do the same.

The rally is sponsored by the Campaign for Fair Latino Representation, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) and the National Institute for Latino Policy (NiLP).
