Jodi Arias Sentenced To Life In Prison

Jodi Arias has been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole, reports ABC News.

In May 2013, a jury found Arias guilty of murdering her on-again, off-again boyfriend Travis AlexanderAlexander, a salesman, was murdered in his house on Mesa, Arizona, on June 4, 2008. He sustained 27 to 29 stab wounds, a slit throat and a gunshot wound to the head. 

In March 2015, a deadlocked jury took the death penalty off the table for the convicted murderer.

During the trial, Arias claimed that she killed Alexander in self-defense, and she didn't remember stabbing him nearly 30 times. She testified that she remembered Alexander in a rage, body slamming her and chasing her around his home "like a linebacker" after she accidentally dropped his new digital camera. 

In a 2013 interview, Arias told My FOX Phoenix that she would prefer the death penalty to life in prison.
