11-Year-Old Girl is Arrested for Threatening to Shoot her School Day After Florida School Shooting

A day after a teen gunman killed 17 people in a Florida high school an 11-year-old-girl was arrested for writing a threatening letter saying she was going to shoot up her Florida middle school.

A teen girl from Nova Middle School wrote a disturbing note that reads, "I will bring a gun to school to kill all of you ugly ass kids and teachers bitch. I will bring the gun Feb. 16. 18. BE prepared bitch!" 

WPLG-TV reports that the girl claimed another female student made her do it and that she was threatened.

Davie Police Department have surveillance video footage of the teen placing the note under the assistant principal’s office door.

Davie Police claim the girl placed a handwritten note under the assistant principal's office door at Nova Middle School a day after the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The two schools are just a 30-minute drive apart.

The girl, who has not been named because of her age, broke down in tears when confronted by police officers about the note, according to police reports.

The sixth-grade student was arrested and taken to the Broward Juvenile Assessment Center.
