Gina DeJesus, one of the Cleveland kidnapping survivors, made a public appearance this past weekend. According to Fox News Latino, the 23-year-old showed up at the Puerto Rican Parade and Latino Fest, which took place in her hometown.
Renee Jackson, who caught a glimpse of DeJesus at the parade, was surprised like many to see her there.
“I was like, ‘wow, that’s Gina DeJesus. I’ve gotta take her picture,’” Jackson said.
DeJesus rode with her family in the downtown Cleveland parade, as part of the Janet Garcia for City Council group. Seated on top of a vehicle, the smiling young woman waved at parade-goers as she moved along the route.
