He must be hurting: a Mexican man tried to cross the border by hiding himself in a cargo of red chili peppers. He was found face down in the cargo in New Mexico, drunk off tequila, reports The Guardian.
Columbus port director Robert Reza said that the "highly intoxicated" man was found with a bottle of tequila in his hands. He told agents that he climbed into the commercial hopper in Mexico, hoping to catch a ride to Chicago. He got less than 100 metres before he was discovered.
The chili pepper shipment was later sent through.
