Senator Proposes Adding Graduation Requirement to Dream Act

This news comes in the midst of another amendment that affects Dreamers greatly.

The Steve King amendment, which was proposed by Iowa Republican Steve King, passed in the House yesterday. The Huffington Post wrote that the House voted 224-201 on this amendment which would end Department of Homeland Security discretion policies that allow it to delay deportations for young, undocumented immigrants and other people deemed low-priority.

This would effectively demand that the government force out Dreamers who came to the United States as children.

Are you a Dreamer? What does this amendment proposal mean to you? And what about the Steve King amendment? Spill your thoughts and concerns!
