We love all the Latinas on reality TV, especially Ecuadorian-American The Voice judge Christina Aguilera.
But it seems not everyone loves Christina as much as we do! She's frequently clashed with fellow judge, Adam Levine, on the popular singing competition.
Aguilera, who judges alongside the Maroon 5 frontman, “Crazy” singer Cee-Lo Green, and country artist Blake Shelton, said that she doesn’t hate her fellow judge, despite reports to the contrary.
“We’re both very passionate, but it isn’t personal with Adam. it never has been.” she told TV Guide, “We’re just very strong personalities.”
Aguilera is returning to Season 5 after a brief hiatus from the show, when Colombian Shakira took her seat at the judges table.
Both Aguilera and Levine will be fighting to judge the winner this season, as the past three seasons have been dominated by Shelton's contestants. However, none of the winners of The Voice have achieved the critical success of contestants from The X Factor, judged by Latinas Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio, and American Idol, which boasts Jennifer Lopez as a judge.
Aguilera dismissed the idea that her contestants are unsuccessful, “To me being on the show and gaining advice from all of us who have lived this business, that is success.”
Do you agree? Will you be watching the Season 5 premiere on Monday Sept. 23?
