Bolivian Villagers Bury Murder Suspect Alive

A Bolivian man was buried alive after fellow villagers learned that he was a suspect in the raping and murder of a woman, Fox News reports.

Teenager Santos Ramos was identified by police as the suspect in the attack of 35-year-old Leandra Arias Janco on Sunday in a Quechua community near the municipality of Colquechaca, according to Jose Luis Barrios, the chief prosecutor in Potosi province where the community is located.

After news spread that Ramos was the possible culprit in Arias Janco’s death, more than 200 enraged community members reportedly seized the 17-year-old and buried him alive alongside his alleged victim.

According to Luis Barrios, the residents who gathered together to grab the teen blocked the road to the community on Thursday, which in turn prevented police and prosecutors from reaching it.
