"These are not somebody else's kids. These are our kids."
On Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden took a moment to address one of the biggest issues on everyone's minds: The unaccompanied migrant children.
According to Fox News Latino, Biden said that determining a solution when it comes to the migrant kids has become very tricky. Obama's right hand says that the U.S. "will be judged by how it treats the thousands of young immigrants showing up on its border," but will have no choice but to deport some back to their unfortunate circumstances.
"Judges are going to be sending some kids back to environments that aren't' as good even as the facilities they're living in," he said of the U.S. holding centers. But their situations "will not meet the standards of asylum."
Fox News Latino reports that Biden says the administration understands the dire situation many of these children are facing, but that it would just not be "feasible" for the U.S. to let them stay living here solely based on the reason that they would be better off here than back home.
Since October 2013, thousands of unaccompanied, undocumented children have been crossing the U.S. border, many fearing for their lives.
