Massacre at Dark Knight Rises Premiere in Colorado

A gunman opened fire on a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado, reports Fox News Latino. 38 people have been reported injured and at least 14 are dead.

The gunman, who is in custody and has been named as James Holmes, according to ABC News. Law enforcement officials and witnesses told ABC News Holmes, 24, wore what appeared to be a bullet-proof vest and riot-type mask as he opened fire in a movie theater with three weapons around 12:30 a.m.

"Witnesses tell us he released some sort of canister," said Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates at a news conference. "They heard a hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire." 

Police found the suspect behind the theater. There's no evidence of a motive. 

The youngest person reported wounded was a 3-month-old child. At least ten people died at the theater, with more in route or at the hospital.
