I love being a LATINA because my culture is beautiful. I am a dark skin latina and when I speak our beautiful language people heads turn. I love that we just don't have one special look. We come in different colors of skin, hair and eyes. We have respect for one another and we were taught to help others. Latina's are not only different by culture but individually we look different. I love being a LATINA and who I am.

okay this might seem weird but I am not a latina so I really can't write about how I love being a latina. however, some of my best friends are latinas and I can speak about how much I love them and their culture. For one latinas have good food and good music, are hardworkers, and non judgmental. Moerover most seem to be just so warm, friendly, and generous. Latinas should be proud of their culture

Growing up, I can remember waking up at 5-6 in the morning so my mom can do my sisters hair and mine. she would leave to go to work at 5 am and wouldn't be home till 8pm. I remember, she would get us ready to go to school, and off she went to work.that was are routine every morning. We hardly saw our mom. When we will get home, I had to make sure my sister and brother did there homework. I would do mine at school, so when we get home I can cook for them. I would make sure dinner was done, so by the time our mom got home she will have time to eat dinner and have time to be with us. I was only in the 4th grade. By the 5th grade I learn how to do laundry, do the shopping at home and organize my mom's bill so they can be paid on time. she had 2 jobs and work for about 16 hours a day. we hardly so her. I learn at a young age the sacriffieses that my mom had to do for us. she would always tell us "being in this counrty is hard, but when you guys get older, you will understand why i have to work this hard." we sure did hate hearing that. hahaha.. i sure do laugh at that now... :) i grew up to fast, yes i did. But, My mother is a women of many mircles, she is a single mother with 3 kids. she give us all, regardless of anything. She is an example of Latina mom's. how work hard and come to this country for a better life and is very, very proud of who she is and where she comes from. as i am as well. This is just a liitle of my story. there are many latina girls out there, wtih similar stories like me that know how hard it can be to be a latin but how proud it is to be a LATINA too.! I am not angry at my mom for not being around, but I am proud of her. I am proud to see all these famous people that I see in the TV( Penelope Cruz, Mitchelle Rodriguez, Sakira, Jessica Alba, Jeniffer Lopez) just to name a few, Who are a good role modle to us Latina's and have engourege me to be some one in life... of course not to be famuse lol! but to stand tall for our people. and know who we are. to stick by one another because that's all we have anyway... I AM PROUDE TO BE MEXICAN AND I CAN SCREAM IT FROM THE TOP OF MY LUNGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S I LOVE LATINA MAGAZINE

I love being Latin, because its not only a race, its a way of life. Being latin makes you loud proud, independant, beautiful, fun, sassy, But were also just like everyone else(Accept our attitudes) Which is why we should be treated fairly and not treated like trash. We are still americans and even though we want the recognition of nationality, we also want to be equal. Thank you

I love being a Latina for many reasons. We are strong, beautiful, traditional women with a little bit of old-fashioned traits along with independency. I was born in the United States; however, I am of Mexican descent and still speak the Spanish language.
I am very proud of my heritage and background. I thank my parents, grandparents, and huge family for making me the Latina I am today!!
Much love to all!!
XOXO!

I looooove being latina! Im a halfie. I would be considered afro-latina. My father is panameno y mi mama es basian (barbados). La comida, baila, y la cultura. We can get away with any race. Some people think I'm just some black girl of the street but the don't know the half of it. Being panamanian our foods are very diverse. We have the west indian style which i'm part of and the latino foods. Latinas are the sexiest women with our curves our hair, our unique complexion even if it light skinned or dark skinned. My mother says that i'm african american because i'm mixed with her side but the i'm full latina im my mind body and soul. Latinas stick together and we all are familia. We are the melting pot. Chicas keep ya heads up!!!

I love being Latina because out of all races we don't see color. We see you as the person you are. We may not like many people but we never hate. We have such pride to love and we are the best at showing it. Whether it be food, family, friends; love is what we do. We put love in cooking our favorite meals. We love spending time with our loyal friends and shopping with them. And we especially love our families, no matter how crazy our primos or primas may be. You mess with a Latina family, you are messing with fire. I love being Latina and I love my Latina family.
