Offensive Parody of "Feliz Navidad" Removed from Site Amid Outcry

After being contacted by the Associate Press and reading Jose Feliciano's statement regarding an incredibly offensive parody of his Christmas classic, "Feliz Navidad," the editor of the right-wing conservative website Human Events, Jed Babbin, apologized to the singer directly for the racist post.

"We regret any offense that Mr. Feliciano may have taken from this parody," Babbin said in an e-mail sent to The Associated Press. The song, originally created by radio producers Matt Fox and A.J. Rice has since been removed from the site.

In celebration, enjoy Feliciano's performance of the holiday song below!

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
