The imminent enforcement of the SB 1070 legislation that was passed a few months ago in Arizona has Latinos mobilizing all over the country. Now the community is responding in a big way with the Voces Unidas por America Concert being held on Saturday, July 17.
This concert, organized by the Albuquerque-based League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) to raise awareness about the Arizona law, will feature top Latin recording artists. Confirmed performers include Ozomatli, Cristian Castro and Pee Wee, but expect more stars and public figures to step up to the stage to present a collective and united front against these new immigration laws. If you’d like to check this concert out, visit LULAC.org for ticket information.
