Jessica Alba, Kate del Castillo and George Lopez step up to support Obama

Many of our Latino stars including George Lopez, Jessica Alba and Kate del Castillo have appeared in a video in support of Obama's campaign for the democratic presidential nomination according to People en Espanol.

Alba states that she stepped up in support of Barack because she, "would like to see a cleaner Earth for my child that I’m bringing into the world very soon" and wants, "the rest of the world to think highly of our amazing country."

Kate del Castillo emphatically states, "Esto es mi América. Nuestro América. Tu América." and voices her opinion that she wants to see the war in Iraq end.

Freddy Rodriguez says, "He's someone who can actually make a difference in our generation" while George Lopez echoes the sentiment adding, "Obama is the change that can bring about hope."

They are joined by a slew of Latino stars including: Luis Guzman, John Leguizamo, Cucu Diamantes of Yerba Buena and Jay Hernandez.

About this author

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
