"Celebs" Join Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Posse

There's a new sheriff in town and apparently his name is...Lou Ferrigno? Ferrigno is one of a few stars who have chosen to join Maricopa County's Joe Arpaio to form a posse to combat illegal immigration on the border.

Wait, did we say stars? We meant washed-up celebs. Ferrigno will be joined by the illustrious Steven Seagal and some guy named Peter Lupus who was apparently on the Mission: Impossible TV series. In all, Arpaio got 56 people to sign up for this new posse.

Arpaio says the main objective for the posse will be to bring those who have been arrested to jail and break up protesters trying to interfere with his immigration patrols. "Arizona is the busiest port of entry for people being smuggled in from Mexico, Latin and South America. So asking for the public's help in this endeavor makes sense, especially given the success the posses have experienced over the years," Arpaio told CBS affiliate KPHO.

Although Arpaio is now attracting attention from Hollywood (well, sort of) this isn’t the first time he's rounded up a posse. He's been swearing in similar groups since he took office in 1993.

We're counting down the days until someone catches on and makes this into the ridiculous reality show it's just begging to become!
