LOVE IN THE TIME WARP
Dear Dolores: I’ve been in a relationship for 10 years. From the beginning I knew he had a girlfriend and that they lived together, but our attraction for each other was so strong that we plunged ahead. Lately he’s changed. We used to see each other every week, but in the last six months we only see each other once a month. I adore him, but I wonder if he loves me. I don’t think I can live without him. ¿Qué hago?

I can’t stop grinning. My head is in the clouds. I keep playing Boyz II Men tunes on my iPod. The truth is, I have a ridiculous crush!
I didn’t see this coming. I never thought I would ever kiss Sam. The first time he asked me out I declined his offer. But he was persistent and asked me out again to the Jay-Z/Mary J. Blige concert. How could I say no to that?

READING SMOKE SIGNALS
Dear Dolores: I met this charming guy at work and he cajoled me into giving him my phone number. We’ve texted each other a few times trying to know each other. I have now moved away to go to college and although I come home quite often, he always has an excuse not to meet. Then, sometimes I don’t hear from him for weeks, and then he says he didn’t get my message or that his phone battery went dead. But he still hints that he’s interested in me. I’m so confused and I don’t know what to do.

AM I BEING DUMPED?
Dear Dolores: I’ve been going steady with my novio for eight months. He’s 34 and I’m 25. I’m a professional track and field athlete about to get my degree in education. Out of the blue, he’s just told me he’s not sure he’s the man who could make me happy. He also said that since he has finished college and I have not, he has other plans and isn’t comfortable with our relationship. I have the impression he’s looking for excuses to dump me. I feel devastated. What do you think?

Let’s hear it for the boy! Nope, we’re not talking about the one you fantasize about walking down the aisle with (or the one you made sleep on the couch last night, whatever). We’re all about those other dudes who make your life easier with their brawn, their blunt advice, their soft touch, or their amazing fashion sense. Here, real Latinas salute the four boys they couldn’t live without.

NOW YOU SEE HIM, NOW YOU DON’T
I’ve been going out with my novio of two years. When I’m not with him I feel lost and anxious, but when I’m with him I feel uncomfortable. I wonder if I really love him. What do you think?

My mother favors my brother all the time. She never calls or looks for me. I was raised by my grandmother, but she passed away 20 yeas ago. I’m married and have five children. Can you give me some advice, please?
