You know how when someone close to you is pregnant, all of sudden it seems like every single woman you see is pregnant?
Well, I kind of feel that way with the “D” word: DIVORCE. Now that I am so close to my wedding date, I feel like I keep on hearing about people getting divorced and with the whole J.Lo and Marc Anthony breakup, the word is being thrown around everywhere and it freaks me out!

You know that normal Latino family you see on TV commercials—a 30-something, dark-haired couple with a station wagon and two kids who look just like them? Turns out they’re about as real a reflection of today’s Latino marriages as Carmen Miranda’s fruit hat is of our fashion.
In truth, a quiet revolution is transforming the state of Latino unions. We’re marrying—or choosing not to marry—in completely different ways than our grandparents did.

There definitely won’t be a shortage of hot guys at this year’s Premios Juventud (Thursday, June 21st on Univision). A who’s who from music, film and TV will be there and the ridiculously gorgeous William Levy will be hosting. With so many men to choose from, we thought it'd be best to focus on a category, so we’re going with Favorite Actor.

Ahhh, love—so exciting and new! Until, all of a sudden, it's not anymore.
Unfortunately, all weddings do not end in happily ever after. As Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony can attest—they announced they’re calling it quits today!—it's harder to maintain marital bliss than it seems. At least they can take some consolation in the fact that they are far from the only famous Latino couple to fizzle out.

When Hector and I began planning our wedding we kind of decided against giving each other presents. I know many people believe it’s a tradition, but we figured a wedding is enough money and our honeymoon can be our gift to each other. And honestly, I don’t even know the meaning behind the “tradition”. However, now that the date is getting closer I am seriously considering gifting him something. I know my man, and he is always surprising me with gifts and I would feel terrible if he surprises me once again on our wedding day and I didn’t return the gesture.
