Like everyone else, I’m obsessed with the Royal Wedding! I can’t help but compare my wedding choices to the ones “speculated” to be made by the 29-year-old princess-to-be, Kate Middleton. I know it’s a stretch, but a girl can dream, right? I recently read there was drama brewing in the Royal household because Camila, her royal step-mom-to-be, was upset with Kate's decision to avoid wearing the traditional tiara. Apparently, Kate's thinking of going more modern and decorating her head with flowers (a huge trend with modern brides).

Maybe Perez Hilton found this news so shocking because, like us, he is Latino and this sort of thing usually doesn’t sit well with our familias. It seems that when Christina Aguilera recently flew to Rhode Island to meet new man Matt Rutler’s parents, she refused to stay at their house, opting for a very fancy suite at the Hyatt instead. Which meant that Matt stayed with her.

Since I’ve announced my wedding date, the amount of people who have offered to help in the process has been incredible. It’s been very telling of how much love we have around us, which makes me confident in knowing our day will be special because it will be filled with people who truly wish us well. Among these great people are many women – women that I love from all aspects of mine and Hector’s life. I have close cousins, childhood friends, adult life-long friends, and a sister of my own, not to mention all these types of women in Hector’s life as well.

This week we have a proud papa, an international rock star and a romatic crooner to set your hearts aflutter.
Gael Garcia Bernal
The mexicano just had his second child with girlfriend Dolores Fonzi, a baby girl named Libertad! This makes Bernal, 31, a daddy two-times over. He has a two-year-old son named Lazaro.

I finally chose my wedding dress and while I am absolutely in love with it, I couldn’t be more excited about my shoes! Anyone who knows me knows I love fashion and above all else I am a shoe fiend. I DIE for a rockin’ pair of sky high stilettos (or any shoe for that matter), so when it came to buying my wedding shoes, I didn’t cut on costs and got these spectacular fancy red soled Christian Louboutins. Afterall, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to buy shoes of this caliber. I saw them and I just knew they were the shoes I had to wear on my wedding day.

We have an interesting mix of guys this week- something for everyone's taste. There's a professional wrestler, a politician, and a recording artist.
Alberto Del Rio
Though he was defeated as WrestleMania XXVII on Sunday night, this Mexican wrestler is a star on stage and comes from a family of famous luchadores.
The 39-year-old Florida Republican U.S. senator assumed office in January. Whether you agree with his political party or not, you can't deny this Cubano's good looks.

While I was still working on other details of the wedding I realized my mom had been patiently waiting for me to call on her. My sister (her only other daughter) eloped, so you can imagine her excitement to be involved in my wedding. I learned early on in this process that if you involve too many people you will get frustrated if they impose on your decision-making, so my plan was to try and include the people close to me in individual things, making it special for them as well. My mom loves clothes and shopping, so naturally I wanted her to shop with me for my wedding dress.

In our daydreams this week: An old favorite with a new hairdo (even if it is a hair DON'T), a sexy funny man with a new Broadway show and an all grown up familiar face. The person with the highest votes will be featured as our Crush on Wednesday. Also, don't forget to tell us who you picked and why on our Facebook page!

I’m so happy to say that Hec is better and I can get back to wedding planning. Now that I found the venue, it was time to research vendors. My priorities were finding a florist, photographer, and a priest to officiate our wedding. A DJ is the one thing the groom-to-be decided to handle himself, hence why everything else has been checked off the list except that (sigh).
