While there is already an alarming correlation between heavy male porn users and erectile dysfunction, it turns out porn might actually not be beneficial for us either. Yikes! A new study from the University of New Brunswick took a look at the impact of pornography on both men and women. Researchers surveyed 1,000 adults, two-thirds of which were women, that were asked to fill out an online survey on the frequency they watched X rated films and their expectations of their partner.

The research found that porn not only leads women to have unrealistic expectations from their male partners but also resulted in them feeling dissatisfied with sex. That's right! According to researchers, “The results of this investigation suggest that individuals who consume visual pornography may experience some forms of sexual insecurity and sexual expectations related to their porn use."

Sex expert, Kaitlyn Goldsmith, who led the study revealed, admits that in the adult film industry, “Genitalia can be digitally or cosmetically altered, depicting larger than average penis size." She added, “Intercourse is shown to last longer than average, men sustain erections longer and women experience orgasms more easily than in real-world encounters."
