Help Our Modern Latina Bride Pick a Honeymoon Destination

While there is still some time for wedding preparations I think it’s smart to start thinking about our honeymoon. I know some of you may think that a honeymoon is not important or something I shouldn’t make a priority, but traveling is something both Hector and I love to do, so this trip will really represent us as a married couple. Honeymoons can get pretty expensive and will take some time to plan, so I’d like to get this out of the way before I get crazed with last-minute wedding stuff.

We have both traveled quite a bit, so picking the perfect honeymoon destination is important to us. When thinking of options of where to go there are certain things that need to be taken into consideration. We want to go somewhere that is somewhat far in proximity since this may be one of the only times that we can both take off of “everyday life” for a little over a week and not feel guilty about it. While we love the beach, we’ve been almost everywhere in the Caribbean, so that’s not an option. The jealous Latina in me wants to make sure we travel to a place where neither of us have traveled before (especially with a significant other). Finally, we want a destination that has beaches, great gastronomy and nightlife, and is rich in culture. After lots of thinking, we have narrowed it down to four places. So please, vote below and help a modern bride make her mind up!
