This week you picked three-time All Star and Home Run Derby winner Robinson Cano as your crush!
Robinson Cano
We've had our eye on the second basemen for the NY Yankees for a while now, he was even featured on our guys page of Latina magazine, last year. But he's had a breakout 2011 season and even won the Home Run Derby on an all-Latino sluggers team chosen by last year's home run champ David Ortiz (aka Big Papi). The cutest part about the whole thing was that Robi had his father pitching to him! It's just another example of how sincere the 29 year old baseball star is. Cano, a native of the notoriously talented pueblo of San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic is now a three-time All Star and a World Series champ but he still takes time to give back to his home country through his work with the American Red Cross. Here's the relationship advice he had to share when he was featured in our mag. Swoon...
Q: I’ve been dating this guy for a while and he just stopped calling. What should I do?
A: I would say you should call and find out what’s going on. Instead of saying, “Oh yeah, he’s not coming back,” or “I don’t want to bother him,” maybe something happened. Maybe the guy’s in a bad situation; maybe he’s thinking too much or has family problems. So I think you should call and ask the guy if something happened or go to lunch or dinner and maybe talk to him. Good communication is the best thing.
