Crushing On...Gabe Saporta
By Latina Staff | 11/23/2011 - 14:33 | 0 Comments
This week, you crushed on Gabe Saporta, the lead singer (and lanky hottie) of alternative rock band Cobra Starship. The Uruguayan singer snagged more than 50 percent of votes, beating out Boricua salsero Marc Anthony and Mexican American chef Aarón Sánchez.
Born in Uruguay to Jewish parents who immigrated to South America during World War II, Gabe Saporta moved to the United States as a young boy and fell in love with hip-hop. As a teen, Saporta later gravitated towards punk and hardcore rock and told MTV that he was a loud kid. “I went against the grain a little bit, and you always get in trouble when you do that,” the 32-year-old said. We have no problem with that – look where Saporta’s rebellious (and sexy) edge has brought him.
Saporta and his band Cobra Starship will be at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow, and we hope to hear them perform their hit song “You Make Me Feel…” Saporta, if only you know how you make us feel…
