Last week, Argentina became the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage, and the related gaiety (pun intended) has spread north.
In an effort to promote its gay-friendly tourism, Mexico City (which last year legalized gay marriage) will offer an all-expenses-paid honeymoon to Argentina's first married gay couple. The city's tourism secretary, Alejandro Rojas, said that the couple's paid bill would include airfare, restaurants, hotel costs—the works!
Tell us what you think: Is this an extensive publicity stunt, or is Mexico really trying to motivate other Latin American countries to accept gay marriage as well?
