Inspiring Latina of the Week: Entomology Professor & Bee Researcher Dr. Juliana Rangel-Posada

Dr. Juliana Rangel-Posada, Ph.D., is the associate professor for Texas A&M's Entomology Department. Only in her early thirties, this native Colombian has quite the impressive resume!

In addition to earning a Ph.D. from Cornell University and going on to teach, Juliana has been a leader of multiple research projects focusing on honey bees. Rangel-Posada is one of the only Latinas to hold a position as a research leader of a honey bee research group at a top university in the United States. She was even awarded one of only 15 National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Biology. Not only that, She is also a Mom-to-Madre collaborator, and loves to sing on her free time!

For her impressive accomplishments, and her never-ending drive,  Dr. Juliana Rangel-Posada is this week’s Inspiring Latina.
