CNN’s Early Start co-anchor Zoraida Sambolin has revealed that Angelina Jolie’s recent story encouraged her to come forward about her battle with breast cancer. While on-air yesterday, the 47-year-old journalist said she was diagnosed with breast cancer three weeks ago and plans on having a double mastectomy.

What a tragedy. A California 12-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in the killing of his 8-year-old sister.

According to NBC station KCRA in Sacramento, Leila Fowler was found with multiple knife wounds on April 27 in her family’s Valley Springs home.

However, she kept telling herself, “Let’s keep going,” and her endurance paid off. She received treatment back in 2000, and is living cancer free today.
