I don’t know about you, but I get tired of running on a treadmill or doing the elliptical machine rather quickly. And I've already told you my sentiments on gyms, so it’s no surprise that whenever I can escape them and run outdoors, I do so. But I only really enjoy that when it’s warm outside, and this whole week has felt like the longest monsoon ever, so I confess I’ve slacked, which is very bad, because in order for my workouts with Marc at MPHC to be truly successful, I really need to do my cardio in addition to eating healthier. So over the weekend, I got my dancing groove back (I started dancing when I was a little girl, but after college I stopped). I took my first ballet class this weekend in years at Broadway Dance Center in an attempt to switch up the cardio routine and add a little excitement to my workouts.
My ultimate dancing idol? Jennifer Beals in Flashdance, of course. Anytime I need some inspiration from now on, I’m just gonna put the below vid on repeat. Look at her go!
