Not surprisingly, I am already having issues motivating my butt out of bed, or from work, or from Happy Hour, to go to the gym. I say I am not surprised because my willpower is pretty much non-existent. I can't lie;
if there's a party, or my friends want to hang out, or a new movie has just opened, I want to be there. Not slaving away in a gym, by myself, getting all sweaty and fit.
What did surprise me was my boyfriend's willingness to jump into this challenge with me. And boy has he committed! I can honestly say that there have been more than a few times that I would have most definitely been more content to go home than head to the gym, and there he was on the phone, asking me when I was going to meet him.
Phoenix Carnevale (our Latina.com fitness expert) had suggested a Buddy System to me, but I wasn't really sure it was going to work. Well, it does. Every. Time. I feel so guilty even thinking about leaving him high and dry that I drag myself to meet him no matter what. He always reminds me that there is enough time in the day for everything I want to do. I'd definitely suggest finding a partner in crime if you need a little more motivation to keep it moving!
