I’m not going to lie to you. I’ve always had this phobia of gyms. Or maybe it’s the sweaty people who inhabit them. But now that I’ve started my health challenge, hired a hot trainer and begun to hit the Manhattan Plaza Health Club on the regular, I’m going to need to get over my fear once and for all. And there’s a few things that are helping me do that, including:
A good sports bra.
I’m in love with the Nike Dri-FIT Updated Zip-Front Women's Bra. It easy to put on and its Dri-FIT fabric keeps you dry and comfy.
At the top of my list right now is a song my buddy Rob Kenner, aka the expert on all things reggae, turned me on to. It’s called “Tonight” and it’s by this young Jamaican singer Jovi Rockwell. Other tunes include “Pokerface” by Lady GaGa, “Love Sex Magic” by Ciara and J.T., and “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas.
I know it seems kind of ridick, but I’m picky about the way my H20 tastes, especially when I’m red like a tomato and dying of dehydration on the treadmill. I prefer Volvic and Smart Water to any other kind.
The right sneakers.
I have an old pair but I desperately need to upgrade. I have my eye on the new Nike Air Zoom Vomero+ 3. And not just cause they rhyme with Romero. OK, that kinda has a lot to do with it. But they also have the right amount of cushion!
