Meet Maven: The Healthcare App Changing the Way You Book Doctor Appointments

Healthcare Made Easier: The Maven App

Do you regularly Google symptoms or have you ever found yourself lost on WebMD, diagnosing yourself with some illness at all hours of the night? We might have found a better way to get the right medical advice.

Enter MAVEN, a new health app available in the iOS store, created to be an easy and superior alternative to online self-diagnosis. Think Facetime with a live health and wellness expert that will host video appointments for you anywhere and any time!

The platform offers video-based appointments to women and children from nurse practitioners, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, mental health providers, physical therapists, lactation consultants, doulas, and nutritionists with a focus on fertility, prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care. Maven was designed for women's health needs: the new mom who has postpartum depression, the busy mom who doesn't want to miss work to get a basic rash checked out for her two year old, or the woman trying to get pregnant and wants her fertility charts read by an OB/GYN.

They also offer basic primary care (like getting a prescription written) and the shortest appointment is 10 minutes for $18 — often less than the copay for an in-person consultation. Maven's mission is to encourage patients to form lasting relationships with healthcare providers. The app is available for download on Apple's App Store.
