The Jodi Arias trial hit an expected turn today after the convicted murderer’s defense lawyers asked for a mistrial and permission to withdraw from the case. On May 8th, Arias, 32, was found guilty of first-degree murder for killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in his home in Arizona. A Mexican man became the first climber to double summit on Mount Everest in the same climbing season. According to Fox News Latino, 33-year-old David Liaño Gonzalez reached the top of the world on Sunday via both the north and south sides of Everest, which is recognized as the world’s tallest mountain.
