Whoever invented the ‘babymoon’ is genius. I don’t care of some people think it’s just another made up excuse for a vacation. HA! Like I need an excuse for a vacation. It’s been 8 long months of pregnancy and a little treat for my husband and me is exactly what we needed.
First, we skipped the plane ride. That knocked off a couple hundred bucks and used the extra money towards a nicer place to stay. Granted, I live in Southern California so there are so many amazing vacation destinations for me to go in a 100-mile radius.

The husband recently told me that he wanted to buy a motorcycle. A motorcycle? What? Are you crazy or something? We’re having our first child. A motorcycle hardly seems appropriate and besides, when has he ever wanted a motorcycle? I worried. Was this some sort of midlife crisis?
Nope. It was much simpler than that. It was a calculated ploy. Ask for something major so that when he asked for what he ‘really’ wanted, it wouldn’t seem so bad.

Congrats to my E! sister Kim Kardashian who, unless you’ve been living under a rock, had her baby two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, which was five weeks before she was actually due!
Panic sets in!
Of course I always knew that there would be a possibility that Baby Bean might decide to come early but now that I’m in the home stretch, ‘early’ is any time between now and his due date!
Cue the circus music because that’s the beat I’m going to these days.

Baby showers are awesome! There. I said it. I was torn. I felt a little guilty registering for gifts knowing that I was essentially asking my friends and family to buy me things. I was like a kid writing to Santa Claus:
Please buy me a stroller. It’s black and silver. It costs 100 dollars. Also, I know it’s expensive but a breast pump would be great, too. I’ve made buying me gifts easy. I’m registered at Babies"R"Us. I promise to be good for the rest of the year.

What’s in a name? A bunch of nonsense, that’s what. Just kidding. But no, seriously, we’re still scratching our heads at North West, the eccentric name Kim Kardashian and Kanye West chose for their already famous baby girl. But hey, at least she won't lose direction in life (hopefully) with a name like North.

As a mother, I've come across people who often come off pushy when it comes to how I should be feeding my baby.

I began my baby registry and had to put it away after the first fifteen minutes because I was so overwhelmed. The opposite happened the next time I logged on to start my registry—I was sucked into this black hole of baby gear and it took me 7 hours to find my way out!
