Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Office ‘Profiled’ Latinos, Says Judge

A federal judge ruled that Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office has profiled Latinos in routine patrols for undocumented immigrants. According to BBC, the self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff in America” was sued by a group of Latino drivers who claimed that the 80-year-old’s deputies relied on race when choosing whom to stop during patrols.

Latina Teen Pregnancy Rate Down 40 Percent

A new report released by the CDC confirms that Latina teen pregnancy is down by 40 percent. The report’s lead author, Brady Hamilton, found significant drops in all states, but the Mountain States of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada and Utah saw rates decrease by 30 percent or more.
