Hosting Friendsgiving for your amigas is the perfect way to show them how thankful you are to have them in your life! Have you ever celebrated Friendsgiving? It's more or less a casual gathering that takes place before the big Thanksgiving feast with our familia.
I'm sharing easy ways to put together a casual and stylish celebration, no-fuss menu suggestions and of course, a small token of appreciation for your special guests!
Invite your best amigas and start planning your menu.
This is where you can opt for a casual setting or a more elaborate one. Have friends contribute their favorite dishes or prepare everything yourself! Don't have hours to spend in the kitchen? Pick up some items from the store and serve them in pretty serving bowls and platters. Set out a simple cheese board and include nuts, cheese, meat and sweet peppers. Serving a delicious Sangria is always a good idea!
Gather amigas to your well-styled table.
Setting the table is one of my favorite parts of entertaining! Can't decide on a theme? Get inspired by things around you. Favorite colors and patterns are a fun way to incorporate your own personal touches. Add in some natural elements such as succulents and vegetables. Try hosting your Friendsgiving in a natural setting such as your backyard or patio. Even the living room floor will work! Add in a few candles for some mood lighting and enjoy the party.
Add personal details to your gathering.
Feeling a little crafty? Create swizzle sticks for your party sips! I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 from Cricut and cut out mini succulents with black cardstock. I hot glued them onto bamboo skewers and added them to glasses of Sangria! Decorate a store-bought cake by adding in some paper crafting! I enlarged the succulents I cut out for the swizzle sticks and added them to bamboo cocktail forks. Little details help tie everything together.
Thank your amigas with a special party favor.
Amigas that drink together, stay together! Send your girls home with a small token of appreciation. We should all be blessed with great amigas that are always there for us, am I right? Party favors can be anything! Maybe you all took a great group picture and you framed it for everyone. Or maybe you and your amigas share the love of a special dessert or candy. Whatever it is, make it fun and include a special note of gratitude for your girls!
Will you be planning a Friendsgiving celebration this year? I'd love to hear about it! Maybe you have some tips or ideas that you'd like to share.
