While Eva Longoria Parker and Benicio del Toro try reverse psychology by telling people not to vote (see the video below), Jessica Alba is resorting to fear tactics.
The normally gorgeous actress went downright ugly—and scary—in a new ad for Declare Yourself's "Silence Yourself" campaign, appearing sans make-up and wearing Hannibal Lecter's mask in an effort to send a message about the dangers of not registering to vote.
Explaining her passion for the campaign, Alba said, "If you don't register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself."
We get that celebrities are trying to use their influence to get people to register to vote, but what's with the trend of treating us like four-year-olds who won't eat our peas? Personally, we don't think dressing up like the boogeyman to scare us into voting is the right idea. What do you think?
