UPDATE: Former Minuteman Shawna Forde Sentenced to Death for Murder of Latino Family

UPDATE: Yesterday, February 22, Shawna Forde recieved the death sentence for her role in the murder of 9-year-old Brisenia Flores and her father Raul. After four hours of deliberation over two days, the jury handed down a death sentence against Forde, 43. Forde's acoomplices will go on trial later this year.

Shawna Forde, the former Minuteman militia member accused of murdering a little girl and her father in an effort to retrieve drugs and money to fund a new splinter group, was found guilty of murder yesterday in an Arizona court.

Forde and her accomplices Jason Bush, a white supremacist who authorities suspect is a serial killer, and Albert Gaxiola, a local resident who served time in prison for drug dealing were charged with first-degree murder, burglary and aggravated assault.The trio was able to gain access to the home of Raul Flores, Gina Gonzalez and little Brisenia Flores by posing as law enforcement. They entered the house and immediately shot Raul Flores before turning the gun on Gina and then Brisenia, who was murdered when she was just 9 years old.

Gina miraculously survived the murder, serving as a key eye witness during the trial, which started at the beginning of February. Watch the CNN report on the murders below:
