Jessica Alba Saves Woman's Face

Remember when we told you about the Asian woman who was going under the knife to transform herself into Jessica Alba's doppelganger in an attempt to win back her Alba-obsessed boyfriend? Well, after an impassioned plea from the Mexican American actress, Xiaoqing had a change of heart.

When Alba first found out about the young Chinese woman's plans from international press, she responded, "I think you should never have to change yourself like that. If somebody loves you, they'll love you no matter what."

Now the Shanghai-based Xiaoqing is saying that response made a big difference in her decision to back out of the extreme plastic surgery. "I think it's great that Jessica is so concerned about me," she said. "Her words also played an important role in my decision."

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
