With the slew of smartphones currently bombarding the market, it's becoming more and more difficult to tell them apart. If you want to keep things simple and are looking for something fast, sleek and easy to navigate, then we highly recommend Verizon's Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus.
Both phones, due to be released on Jan. 25, have all the necessary bells and whistles but won't take a tech whiz to figure out. The Pre Plus boasts 16GB of memory, is speedy, has a slide-out keyboard and can run multiple applications simultaneously. Much like the Droid, it has the ability to run multiple apps at the same time, which can really come in handy and is something iPhone owners are sorely missing. It's awesome that the Pixi Plus has Wi-Fi, helping you stay connected with social apps like Facebook and Flickr. Both phones feature vibrant multitouch screens and built-in GP systems.
The Pre Plus and the Pixi Plus, upgraded versions of their Sprint predecessors, give you access to everything in the palm of your hand. Enhancements to both devices, while minor, are noticeable. Both phones now offer wireless charging with the optional Touchstone Charging Dock—no more power cords to lose! While unconfirmed, it’s expected that the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will cost $150 and $100 after rebates, respectively. Those prices are certainly hard to beat and just may be reason enough to invest in one of these cool new phones.
