HPP aims to help and serve these youth. Founded in 1989, HPP assists mothers and families, young and old, by providing them with housing as well as counseling on nutrition and careers. According to their website, HPP has served more than 85 thousand families, housing 3,475 of them and witnessing the births of more than 4,000 healthy babies.

As a maternity photographer, snapping photos seemed like a natural and easy way for Vaca to volunteer and support HPP’s mission.

“I believe EVERY women deserves great photos from their pregnancy. I want all my moms to see their photos and think, ‘wow, I look amazing!’” Vaca said. “I wanted to put a face to the problem, and HPP's model is changing lives and giving them the tools to end the cycle of poverty.”
