Junior sportswear label Rampage has tapped Gisele Bundchen to be the new face of the brand. WWD reports the Brazilian model has signed on for one year, starting with the company’s spring campaign. Prepare for major traffic jams in New York City’s Times Square because the ad will appear on a billboard there, as well as in major fashion and lifestyle publications, including Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and In Style. Bundchen will replace model Petra Nemcova, who represented the company for over two years.
Bundchen seems to have taken a lot of control over the vision of the campaign. Rampage chief marketing officer, Dari Marder, says, “Gisele was so involved with these shots…she picked the photographer, the hair stylist, makeup artist and she helped us craft the campaign, which is very unique for us.”
Who says a model should just shut up and be pretty? Certainly not Gisele, which is exactly why we love her so much.
