Take your taste buds on a trip through Chile without ever leaving New York City. Through this week, Centrico Restaurant will have a delicious menu highlighting the country’s different flavors and high-quality ingredients.
Centrico owner and executive chef Aarón Sanchez and pastry chef Ryan Butler traveled through Chile with ProChile New York, the Trade Commission of Chile, and designed this exclusive menu to promote its most distinctive products. The four-course meal ($35) starts off with a Ceviche de Salmon that comes dressed with myrth berries, chile habanero and passion fruit. For the first course you’ll enjoy Tostadas de Centolla: Chilean king crab with baby lettuces and avocado drizzled with Merken aioli. Lomo de Carne, a strip loin in Olave salsa verde with bone marrow and unexpected cactus fingerling potato picadillo, is served next. Each dish is delish, but be sure to save room for dessert: a Chilean olive oil cake and honey ice cream, goat’s milk dulce de leche cream and strips of carica. It’s no less than Heaven on a plate!
