I was in MIA last weekend and we all know in places like Miami, there’s always something new and hot happening. But I decided to revisit the 7 year old gem, NOBU Miami Beach at the Shore Club Hotel and it has not lost an ounce of its star appeal or its ability to attract hotness.

Although the décor is nothing spectacular nor does it coincide with the surrounding beach vibe, NOBU Miami is still hip and the “it” place to be seen and admired. Let’s face it chicas, we Latinas love the heat and finding the next happening thing we can get dolled up for, so it’s perfect! All glitz and glam aside, this fabulosity doesn’t come cheap, so if you’re low on funds this is not the place for you.

The dishes at this posh eatery are inspired by traditional Japanese techniques and infused with Peruvian influences that will leave you yearning for more. Most dishes are served family style which allows you to try bits and pieces of everything. Some of my faves were the rock shrimp tempura, the yellowtail sashimi top garnished with a sprig of cilantro, the miso glazed cod fish lettuce wraps, and the tuna sashimi salad. If you’re craving something sweet, the chocolate soufflé cake with green tea ice cream bento box was to die for!

Ok, ok, I know the economy isn’t too great right now, so if you can’t make it to NOBU Miami just yet you can still experience the amazing food of NOBU Miami in your home! On November 1st NOBU Miami: The Party Cookbook was released and can provide everyone with a little taste of fabulousness. The cookbook has more than 70 recipes of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and cocktails served at NOBU, so you can always make a date to create your own little “NOBU” without spending too much money!
