If you’ve been thinking of taking a trip to Washington D.C. to visit the city's amazing museums, I'd strongly suggest making it there before Sept. 17th. Until then, The Garden Café in the National Gallery of Art will be featuring a menu created by successful Chef Jose Andres to coincide with the two Spanish-inspired exhibitions: Luis Melendez, Master of the Spanish Life, and The Art of Power, Royal Armor and Portraits from Imperial Spain.

You can choose from a delicious buffet ($19.25 per person) which is anything but ordinary and will feature an assorted selection of Spanish cheeses and cured meat. Andres will also be cooking up specialties like Pollo con Lentejas (Chicken stew and lentils) and his "Mom's Style" flan for the buffets. You can also order dishes la carte like Costillas con Pimientos de Piquillo Confitados (Braised short ribs, potato purée, and peppers, $16.95) and Sandia con Queso de Cabra (Watermelon salad with goat cheese, pine nuts, and heirloom tomatoes, $8.75). Now when you visit the Gallery you can be inspired not only by the beautiful painting and art skills on display, but by the culinary ones too!
