This Ensalada de Pavo y Nopalitos (Turkey and Cactus Paddle Salad) is a simple and satisfying meal. A longstanding staple in the Mexican kitchen, nopalitos provide color and texture to classic Mexican dishes. Here, they're combined with Oscar Mayer Roast Turkey Breast for a packable, portable salad that is easy, healthy, and delicious. 

  • 6 cups chopped cactus paddles
  • 1 pkg.  (9 oz.) OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 serrano chile, stemmed, finely chopped
  • 1 plum tomato, seeded, chopped
  • 2 tomatillos, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing


  1. In medium saucepan, bring cactus to boil in 6 cups salted water.
  2. Simmer on medium heat 15 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain well and allow to cool 5 minutes.
  4. Place cactus in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly.
