Stuffed Jalapeño and Jack Burger

This recipe serves a crowd. Good enough reason to fire up the grill and mix up a giant pitcher of margaritas! Since you'll have the grill going, roast a couple of green bell peppers for people to put on their burgers. And put out the usual burger fixings: lettuce, onion, ketchup.
4 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. garlic pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
Sliced pickled jalapeños
1. Preheat the grill to medium-high.
2. In a large bowl, mix beef oregano, garlic pepper, and salt. Form the meat into 16 patties, and split each patty through the center into 2 patties. Flatten the two halves and sprinkle one half with 1 tablespoon cheese and some jalapeño slices. Place the other half on top and pinch the edges together to seal in the stuffing.
3. Grill the burgers for 5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
