DESCRIPTION:
This sauce’s great herbal flavor will brighten up just about anything. Try it drizzled on grilled meats or vegetables, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, or add a spoonful to soup just before serving. (Caitlin Moorman)
INGREDIENTS:
1 small bunch cilantro, roots and tough stems trimmed
2 to 3 garlic cloves, peeled
1 serrano chile or 1/2 jalapeño chile
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. salt
PREPARATION:
Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. Taste and adjust salt as needed. Will keep in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days.
