Black-bean burgers get an upgrade with spinach, ricotta and a habanero pepper jack center. These green patties are bursting with flavor, and when brushed with habanero hot sauce before baking they are truly a green, spicy force to be reckoned with. Make extra, they go fast!
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup packed spinach
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 cups cooked black beans
- 1/2 serrano chile
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons habanero hot sauce
- 2/3 cup habanero jack cheese
